Territory: Oklahoma/Arkansas
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Sales and Applications Specialist position is responsible for all LMT Onsrud sales activities and processes required to meet the company sales goals in the assigned Territory. This role requires a strong focus on supporting, developing, qualifying, and selling LMT Onsrud products through channel partner, and end user accounts. This mix is accomplished through mining and optimizing sales through distribution, while developing new business opportunities with end users. The Sales and Applications Specialist will also be responsible for diverse admin-related efforts (e.g., territory management, planning, reporting, training and development, etc.)
DUTIES:
  • Identify, develop, monitor and grow sales in assigned territory by
    • making regular customer calls with Channel Partner sales personnel to end-users that are potential customers for LMT Onsrud products.
    • independently identify and develop new customers.
    • providing Channel Partner and customer technical support.
    • Performing, documenting and presenting results of product demonstrations.
    • timely and accurate quote request processing and follow up

  • Manage business relationships with Channel Partners and end user accounts.
    • With the Regional Sales Director will prospect, develop, or recommend to terminate Channel Partners based on the needs and goals of LMT Onsrud.
    • Conduct regular planning meetings with Channel Partners to monitor sales growth and commitment to LMT Onsrud.
    • With the Regional Sales Director will manage pricing and discounting within the territory, to ensure LMT Onsrud's pricing objectives are met.
    • Provide training to Channel Partners technically and commercially in the use and application of LMT Onsrud products.
    • If requested, assist accounting with credit-related issues. Including direct contact with Channel Partners to secure overdue payments

  • Submit reports and data regularly and in a timely manner to ensure territory sales efforts are coordinated with corporate goals including but not limited to:
    • Call reports and month end reports.
    • Mileage, expense and other relevant cost controls.
    • Competitor activities, market trends.

  • Assist in other projects, duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Regional Sales Director
  • Participate in corporate/regional meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Participate and work in local, regional and national trade shows, as required.
  • Adhere to current LMT Onsrud policies and procedures and applicable laws while representing LMT Onsrud in a professional manner in the market place

EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's Degree (Preferred) or Technical Degree in a Business or Engineering Discipline.

EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum of 3 years sales and marketing experience with industrial cutting tools where new business development through multiple sales channels was the primary focus. In lieu of sales and marketing experience, 5 years manufacturing experience with the ability to sell in an end user and channel partner sales model.

SKILLS:
  • Exceptional verbal and written communications skills of a business and technical nature.
  • Possesses business level computer literacy and able to use the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • An understanding of and capable to adapt selling model to the audience.
  • An understanding of manufacturing and machining processes, and logistics.
  • An understanding of cutting tools, their use and application.
  • Able to manage conflict and maintain business relationships.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Independent, self-directed, results-oriented sales professional with experience in working independently from a home or virtual office environment, where customer rapport and relationships are critical for success.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel and be away at night.
  • Must be a person of high integrity and conduct themselves in a professional manner.
