Job Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of recent PACU experience or closely related post-anesthesia care experience
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
  • NIHSS certification required
  • Cerner experience preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and comfort in a high-acuity recovery environment
  • Ability to support holiday coverage as scheduled
Responsibilities
  • Provide safe, compassionate post-anesthesia nursing care to surgical patients in the PACU
  • Monitor patient recovery, assess stability, and respond quickly to changes in condition
  • Care for patients recovering from complex procedures across multiple surgical specialties
  • Collaborate with charge nurses, supervisors, surgeons, and anesthesia providers to support patient flow
  • Document accurately and follow established PACU protocols and clinical standards
  • Support a 24/7 recovery environment with holiday call coverage as needed
  • Promote patient safety, comfort, and efficient recovery through excellent bedside care
