Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Home Care Operations & Business Development Director to oversee day-to-day agency operations while helping grow our private-pay client base.

This is a hands-on role requiring strong experience in home care operations, caregiver management, client intake, compliance, and business development. The ideal candidate can manage operational needs while building relationships that generate new referrals and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily home care operations, including caregiver staffing, scheduling, and client coordination.
  • Manage client intake, assessments, onboarding, and ongoing service needs.
  • Monitor compliance, documentation, quality of care, and client satisfaction.
  • Recruit, support, and coordinate caregivers to ensure appropriate coverage.
  • Develop and maintain referral relationships with hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, case managers, social workers, physicians, and senior care professionals.
  • Generate new private-pay clients and help increase overall agency census.
  • Conduct outreach, networking, presentations, and follow-up with referral sources and community partners. (If needed, the Director will be traveling from events and to clients as needed)
  • Identify opportunities to expand the agency’s presence and referral network.
  • Track business development activity and work with leadership on growth strategies.
  • Support the team in resolving client, caregiver, and operational issues.
Qualifications
  • 3-5+ years of home care industry experience, preferably in private-pay home care.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of home care operations, caregiver scheduling, client intake, and compliance.
  • Proven experience in home care marketing, sales, business development, and referral relationship building.
  • Demonstrated track record of generating referrals, new clients, or agency census growth.
  • Strong communication, networking, organization, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable in a hands-on role.
