As a Technology Risk Executive, you will lead second line of defense oversight of technology and cybersecurity/technology operational risk for Commercial and Investment Bank Markets lines of business, advising senior technology leaders, and supporting the firm’s modernization and transformation to modern engineering practices. You will evaluate risk posture against multi-year modernization roadmaps (e.g., cloud and platform modernization), Agentic AI adoption and proactively review change activity, define risk responses, and act as a trusted risk advisor influencing executive decisions.

Job Responsibilities
  • Serve as therisk leadfor technology and cybersecurity technology areas
  • Evaluate risk posture andassess alignment to modernization strategies/roadmaps(e.g., cloud adoption, platform modernization).
  • Shapetechnology and cyber risk strategywith senior tech and digital leaders
  • Identify technology operational risks stemming fromevents/incidentsimpacting operations (including disruption of CIB markets operations where applicable).
  • Identify operational risks fromlarge and/or impactful change activities.
  • Work side by side with first line controlimplementation and execution.
  • Provide leadership across amatrixed organization, influencing priorities and outcomes beyond traditional boundaries.
  • Build and maintain strategicexecutive relationshipsacross the firm and with key external partners (e.g., suppliers, industry groups).
  • Act as executive sponsor/trusted advisor to develop technology risk capabilities, includingtalent/workforce strategy and control maturity.
  • Develop and execute anoversight planfor Global Markets Technology
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • 10+ yearsof senior IT leadership experience across application development, infrastructure, and/or cybersecurity with strong engineering background.
  • Proven ability toinfluence/advise senior technology executivesand operate effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.
  • Significant experience architecting and deliveringlarge, complex solutions, including public and/or privatecloud architectures (ie. AWS/GCP/Azure).
  • Ability to translate business strategy intoinvestable technical roadmapsusing enterprise architecture principles.
  • Strong commercial andvendor managementexperience with external partners/suppliers.
  • Strong understanding ofapplication testing, quality control, change and release management.
  • Familiarity with strategic development tools (e.g.,JIRA, Jenkins, Artifactory).
  • Experience withITSM/ITIL, with focus on engineering processes.
  • Expertise inresiliency and observabilitypatterns supporting large-scale systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate technical topics intobusiness decisions.
