Job Duties:
Reporting to the Executive Director of Admissions and working closely with the Admissions leadership team, the Assistant Director of Admissions Initiatives & Partnerships provides leadership for the planning, implementation, management, and continuous improvement of strategic admissions initiatives that support undergraduate enrollment goals. This position serves as the project lead for high impact admissions initiatives, develops and maintains strategic partnerships, evaluates emerging recruitment technologies, and recommends innovative approaches to strengthen the University's enrollment pipeline.
The Assistant Director is responsible for leading institutional initiatives including Direct Admit Wisconsin, EdSights strategy and optimization, Dual Enrollment partnerships, regional recruitment initiatives, the Green Bay Area Public Schools (GBAPS) partnership and Career Coach model, and other strategic recruitment partnerships. The position collaborates extensively with campus and external stakeholders to identify opportunities, implement new initiatives, assess outcomes, and recommend data-informed improvements that enhance recruitment effectiveness and enrollment growth.
The Assistant Director also researches and evaluates emerging recruitment technologies, including artificial intelligence tools, to identify opportunities for innovation and operational improvement. The position manages special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned by the Executive Director of Admissions and serves as a key resource in advancing the Office of Admissions' strategic priorities.
Based primarily on the Green Bay campus, this position serves as a member of the Admissions leadership team and is expected to actively participate in campus visit programs, recruitment events, and other Admissions initiatives by representing the University through presentations, engagement with prospective students and families, and event support.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Oversees and evaluates regional recruitment initiatives and recommends strategies to improve recruitment effectiveness and enrollment outcomes.
- Leads the planning, management, and continuous improvement of strategic admissions initiatives, including Direct Admit Wisconsin, Edisghts and other initiatives that support undergraduate recruitment and enrollment goals.
- Researches, evaluates, and recommends emerging recruitment technologies, including artificial intelligence applications and innovative enrollment practices, to improve operational efficiency and recruitment outcomes.
- Develops, coordinates, and strengthens strategic partnerships and pipeline initiatives with K-12 schools, community organizations, and other external partners, including oversight of the Green Bay Area Public Schools (GBAPS) partnership and Career Coach model.
- Leads and manages special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned by the Executive Director of Admissions, collaborating with campus partners to ensure successful implementation and achievement of project object
- Provides leadership for Dual Enrollment strategy, development, and continuous assessment to expand recruitment opportunities and strengthen student pathways to UW-Green Bay.
- Exercises supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees

This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree at time of application
- Strong written communication and public speaking skills
- Minimum of two years' experience in admissions, recruitment, higher education, K-12 system or marketing related field
- Demonstrated experience supervising, coaching, developing, or supporting staff
- Demonstrated experience serving as a project manager implementing cross-functional initiatives
- Valid driver's license (or ability to obtain a valid driver's license)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree
- Bilingual in Spanish, Hmong, Oneida, or Somali
- Experience developing or managing K-12, community, or organizational partnerships.
- Experience cultivating strong relationships with leaders, stakeholders, and business units to achieve strategic outcomes.
- Experience with use of CRM (customer relationship management) systems, particularly Salesforce.
- Familiarity with student information systems, particularly PeopleSoft.
- Effective interpersonal skills and ability to establish positive relationships with students, staff and faculty.
- Minimum of three years of progressively responsible professional experience in admissions, recruitment, student services, project management, or a related field.
- Experience managing multiple direct reports and fostering high-performing environments.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
Conditions of Appointment:
The home campus of this position is Green Bay and the successful candidate may occasionally be required to travel to or work at the Marinette, Sheboygan or Manitowoc Campus, based on operational needs, as well as travel throughout the state of Wisconsin to represent the University at recruitment events, school and community engagements, conferences, and other related University-related activities.
Position is a full-time Academic Staff appointment. A pre-employment education check which includes, but is not limited to, the verification of academic credentials will be conducted on the finalist(s). A criminal conviction investigation will be conducted on the finalist(s) and if there is prior work history within the last 7 years with Universities of Wisconsin, a personnel file review check for employee misconduct.
