Job Summary:

The Slot Shift Manager is responsible for overseeing all facets of slot floor operations during assigned shifts. This role provides direct leadership to Slot Operations Attendants and ensures the slot floor operates efficiently, professionally, and in compliance with company policies, departmental procedures, Colorado Division of Gaming regulations, and internal controls.

The Slot Shift Manager is also responsible for monitoring and initiating Slot Department guest service initiatives, including jackpot response time, team member performance, guest introductions, and new guest sign-ups. This position actively seeks opportunities to elevate the performance of the slot team while maintaining the highest level of integrity, service, and operational readiness.

Responsibilities:
  • Direct all facets of slot floor operations during assigned shifts.

  • Provide leadership, supervision, coaching, and support to Slot Operations Attendants and other assigned team members.

  • Monitor and initiate Slot Department guest service initiatives, including jackpot response time, team member scorecards, introductions, and new guest sign-ups with email and phone number collection.

  • Actively identify and implement new guest service initiatives to elevate the performance of the slot team.

  • Handle guest disputes, slot machine malfunctions, and team member issues professionally and promptly, ensuring each issue is followed through to resolution.

  • Participate in all aspects of Slot Operations, including initiating and witnessing jackpots, signing up new guests, assisting with guest inquiries, and promoting slot events.

  • Report operational issues to the Director of Slot Operations in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Promote and maintain the highest level of integrity and premier guest service throughout the Slot Department.

  • Ensure the Slot Department operates efficiently and successfully across all assigned areas.

  • Ensure proper implementation and enforcement of established policies and procedures related to the slot floor.

  • Maintain compliance with Colorado Division of Gaming requirements, slot internal controls, Title 31 requirements, and applicable company standards.

  • Monitor slot machine performance and support timely resolution of machine issues to minimize downtime.

  • Maintain slot machine operation with minimal disruption to guests and business operations.

  • Review training processes, plans, timelines, and expectations with new Slot Operations Attendants.

  • Support team member development by reviewing areas of responsibility, performance expectations, and service standards.

  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the slot floor remains a top priority on all shifts.

  • Communicate effectively with internal departments, external guests, team members, and leadership.

  • Support a fast-paced, high-volume environment that consistently exceeds guest and team member expectations.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of five years of experience working in Slot Operations required.

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Colorado Support Gaming License.

  • Strong knowledge of slot floor operations, slot systems, slot machine functionality, jackpot procedures, and guest service standards.

  • Great knowledge of Colorado Division of Gaming regulations and slot internal control minimum procedures.

  • Must stay current with Colorado Division of Gaming updates and regulatory changes.

  • Must stay current with new slot machine hardware, software, and technology.

  • Thorough understanding of Title 31 requirements to ensure compliance with federal cash reporting requirements.

  • Ability to utilize slot computer systems and related operational programs.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn and use slot-related systems effectively.

  • Knowledge of basic math and ability to understand slot paylines.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret gaming documents, technical materials, troubleshooting manuals, and related operational information.

  • Strong communication skills within the Slot Department and across all other departments.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external guests.

  • Must demonstrate strong leadership, sound judgment, integrity, accountability, and professionalism.

  • Ability to resolve guest concerns, team member issues, and operational problems in a timely and effective manner.

  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including days, swings, graveyard shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as business needs require.

  • Should carry basic tools to perform work on machines when needed, including at minimum a screwdriver and flashlight.

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.

  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb stairs, balance, talk, and hear as required by the position.

  • Ability to occasionally lift, move, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.

  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
