Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Director of Security to join our team! As the Director of Security, you will be in charge of all security team members, which includes hiring, training, and coaching as needed. You will also need to review current security standards and develop new methods for best security practices within the company. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in the security and law enforcement field, has worked in a similar corporate environment before, and has strong interpersonal and communication skills. 
Responsibilities 
  • Create and implement effective security plans and solutions for both short and long-term issues
  • Directly manage all security team members, providing coaching and disciplinary action as necessary
  • Lead investigations into security concerns within the company discretely and professionally
  • Act as a liaison between law enforcement, government agencies, and the security department
  • Create and log all officer complaints
  • Create and log in all client complaints
  • Creating system in logging in all incidents reports
  • closely working with the Chief and Captains to ensure proper information is noted
  • Keeping the Chief informed of all things at all times
  • Investigating all incidents and complaints/writing reports
  • Monitoring and observing officers in their assigned location/writing an observation report
  • Creating a separate file system for officer's infractions 
  • Able to document and keep track of all client and officers' interactions
  • Willingness to drop everything in moments notices to handle emergencies even on off days
  • Respond to emergency in a timely fashion
  • Willingness to purchase own radio and uniform
  • Monitoring radio traffic on a daily basis even at night
  • Able to create an overall operational system
  • Coordinate promotional ceremonies
  • Coordinate officer quarterly appreciation days
  • Coordinate ceremonies for officer accommodation and recommendation
  • Termination recommendation
  • Roving late night shift checks
  • Writing officers up immediately
  • Referring all clients/managers complaints or questions to the Chief (YOU DO NOT EXCEPT CLIENTS' NUMBERS)
  • Referring all complaints to the Chief immediately
  • Reporting all intel to the Chief immediately
  • Scheduling all officers each week
  • Following through on all directives
  • Monitoring infractions and writing - proving write ups if necessary - forwarding all write ups to the proper channels
  • Hosting and documenting training
  • Hosting and documenting meetings
  • Monitoring officers and responding to signals 35 immediately (Officer needs assistance)
  • Return calls in a timely fashion
  • Responding to late night and early morning emergencies immediately
  • Answering late night and early morning calls
  • Roving detail and filling out all required paperwork
  • Ability to solve emergencies in a professional manner
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft word excell adobe guards pro ADP scheduling only
  • Always on standby
  • Always answering the phone
  • Always have a good attitude
  • Fillin all open shift early or late night
  • Must be albe to handle and prioritize workload

Qualifications
  • Prior experience as a Director of Security or equivalent position desired
  • Some experience in law enforcement and in a supervisory role
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite
  • Exceptional working knowledge of monitoring systems
  • Strong communication skills
