A well-funded start-up biotech with a vision of becoming the leading bone health company, delivering efficacious, safe, and convenient therapies to millions of patients with osteoporosis and other bone-related disorders is seeking an exceptional Director of Program Management to play a critical role in advancing our pipeline of biologics for osteoporosis. The Director will serve as the operational backbone of our development organization, working closely with the Head of Program Management to drive our programs toward key milestones. • Facilitate effective, science-based strategic decisions, including the development of scenarios as needed, highlighting interdependencies and implications of company goals.
  • Partner closely with the Program Team Lead to coordinate delivering the lead development candidate.
  • Serve as the central hub connecting the Research, Non-Clinical (and eventually Clinical) departments and external partners, ensuring clear communication, accountability, and momentum across all workstreams.
  • Maintain program budgets, track spend against plan, and support resource allocation decisions across the portfolio.
  • Identify, escalate, and help resolve project risks and timeline conflicts before they become critical issues.
  • Prepare and present clear, concise program updates to leadership.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree with a technical background (chemistry, biology, biotechnology, or a similar field).
  • 8+ years of experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry, preferably in the development space, including 5 years in program/portfolio management or leadership of cross-functional matrix teams.
  • Proven track record of taking biologics from concept through to development candidate nomination.
  • Demonstrated competency in drug development expertise across phases, with a solid understanding of the disease area and drug development pathway, and the ability to contribute to strategic discussions.
  • Direct experience supporting biologics development, from early research through DC nomination and/or IND-enabling studies.
  • Ability to resolve complex problems and manage difficult stakeholder situations.
  • Strong working knowledge of drug development processes, including in vivo pharmacology, CMC, and regulatory milestones.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Able to synthesize complex scientific and operational information for diverse audiences.
