Milestone Funeral Partners is seeking a strategic and analytically driven Manager of Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) to play a key role in advancing our continued growth through acquisition and partnership. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced M&A professional who wants meaningful involvement across the full transaction lifecycle and the opportunity to directly contribute to strategic growth.

This is a full-time, onsite opportunity based in Dallas, TX, with periodic travel as needed to support business and transaction activities.

About the Role

The Manager of Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) will work closely with the Director of M&A and cross-functional leadership to evaluate and execute acquisition opportunities. This role will contribute across the M&A lifecycle, including pipeline development, financial analysis, valuation, due diligence, transaction execution, and post-closing integration.

You'll have the opportunity to work directly with business owners, brokers, advisors, lenders, and internal leadership while helping identify and execute transactions that support Milestone's long-term growth strategy.


What You'll Do

  • Research and evaluate prospective acquisition opportunities and maintain an active transaction pipeline
  • Build financial models, perform valuation and scenario analysis, and assess key business drivers, risks, and potential returns
  • Support transaction strategy, including initial offers, negotiations, and letters of intent
  • Coordinate due diligence across Finance, Operations, HR, IT, and other internal teams
  • Review financial and operational information and identify risks, discrepancies, and opportunities
  • Partner with external advisors on Quality of Earnings analysis and transaction-related activities
  • Prepare deal summaries, financial analyses, and presentations for executive leadership and Board review
  • Maintain transaction timelines, diligence materials, data rooms, and other deal documentation
  • Support negotiations, closing activities, and post-closing integration to help ensure successful value realization

 What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, economics, business administration, finance, or a related field
  • 4+ years of progressive experience in M&A, investment banking, corporate development, private equity, transaction advisory, corporate finance, or a related field strongly preferred
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills
  • Ability to analyze financial statements and evaluate business performance
  • Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and project management skills
  • Strong business judgment and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative approach and ability to work effectively with executives, business owners, advisors, and cross-functional teams
