Job description

DEMGY Pacific | Tacoma, Washington

Build It Better. Lead It Forward.

Are you the kind of manufacturing leader who walks into a complex operation and immediately sees what it could become?

You recognize the bottlenecks, connect people with processes, and turn complexity into a disciplined, high-performing operation. You are energized by difficult challenges, continuous improvement, and the freedom to make meaningful decisions. You donโ€™t simply maintain the status quo - you build something better.

DEMGY Pacific is seeking a Director of Manufacturing to lead our Tacoma operation and directly influence safety, quality, delivery, cost, culture, and future growth.

Why DEMGY?

The strength of a global organization. The heart of a family company.

Since 1947, DEMGY has combined stability and strong corporate infrastructure with a people-centered culture where colleagues know, support, and care about one another.

Here, your ideas will be valued, your decisions will have visible impact, and every day will bring a new opportunity to improve, innovate, and win as a team.

What Youโ€™ll Lead

  • Direct production operations for precision aerospace components.
  • Improve capacity, throughput, quality, cost, efficiency, and on-time delivery.
  • Turn manufacturing strategy into focused, disciplined daily execution.
  • Champion Lean works, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
  • Use KPIs - including OEE, scrap, first-pass yield, and labor efficiency - to identify problems and drive action.
  • Build, coach, and develop a high-performing manufacturing leadership team.
  • Strengthening accountability, collaboration, safety, and employee engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, ITAR, CMMC, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Manage manufacturing costs, budgets, and capital investments.

What You Bring

  • 10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience, preferably within aerospace or defense.
  • Experience leading multi-shift or multi-site production operations.
  • Strong knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes and regulatory requirements.
  • Expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement; certification preferred.
  • Strong analytical judgment and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as IQMS, JobBOSS, SAP, Oracle, or Epicor.
  • Experience with plastics manufacturing, precision machining, or assembly is highly desirable.

Youโ€™ll Thrive Here If Youโ€ฆ

  • Love developing people and improving processes.
  • Naturally bring clarity and structure to complexity.
  • Want autonomy to make decisions and own the results.
  • Constantly seek ways to optimize and innovate.
  • Are motivated by progress, variety, and measurable achievement.
  • Never stop asking, โ€œHow can we make this better?โ€

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: $145k - $165k
Benefits:

  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • Life Insurance
  • Long-Term Disability and Supplemental Benefit Coverage Options
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • 401(k) with Company Matching
  • Generous Paid Time Off
