Job Overview:

As the Director of Electrical Engineering, SWB/SWG Division, you will play a pivotal role in guiding the engineering team to design and develop state-of-the-art electrical engineering solutions, focusing on Low Voltage Switchboards, Medium Voltage Switchgear, and related components. Your extensive experience in electrical engineering, coupled with your leadership skills, will enable you to lead, mentor, and collaborate with a team of engineers to deliver high-quality, innovative products.

Other Requirements: 

  • BS in Electrical Engineering is required. MS/PhD Preferred.
  • PE is good to have, but NOT required for this role.
  • Must have 10+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer in designing or engineering power/utilities(substation) to include direct experience with NEC and NETA codes in LV/MV transformers, switchgear, and panelboards.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures of LV/MV transformers, switchgear, and panelboards is a big plus, but not required.
  • Knowledge of: UL 1066, 489, 89, 1558, IEEE C37

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership: Provide strategic direction and technical leadership to the engineering team, ensuring alignment with company goals and industry best practices.
  • Team Management:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and professional growth.
  • Product Development:
  • Oversee the design, development, and testing of electrical engineering solutions, including Medium Voltage Transformers, Low Voltage Switchboards, and Medium Voltage Switchgear.
  • Expertise Utilization:
  • Apply your in-depth knowledge of medium voltage transformers, low voltage switchboards, medium voltage switchgear, relays, power distribution engineering, CAD, distribution design, and related areas to drive innovation and quality.
  • Project Oversight:
  • Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure projects are executed on time and meet technical specifications.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other departments such as manufacturing, sales, and quality assurance to ensure seamless product development and successful launches.
