VTG is looking for Level 2 and Level 3 Data Scientists. The role involves applying data science techniques, particularly in cybersecurity solutions, to analyze data, create visualizations, and support data management efforts.
Responsibilities:
• A Data Scientist represents an effective arbiter of strong technical knowledge and clear communication to inform decision makers and warfighters.
• Main responsibilities of data scientists include a strong understanding in statical methods, predictive modeling, machine learning, deep learning, data visualizations, and data management.
• Depending on the specific position, data scientists may also need knowledge on other fields such as cybersecurity or business analytics due to the widespread use of data science concepts.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent and five (5) years of relevant experience in data science, mathematics, statistics, business analytics, or equivalent quantitative field, preferably with exposure to cybersecurity applications and/or operations.
• Strong knowledge of data visualizations, large language models (LLMs), and machine learning principles, techniques, and technologies.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent and seven (7) years of relevant experience in data science, mathematics, statistics, business analytics, or equivalent quantitative field, preferably with exposure to cybersecurity applications and/or operations.
• Expert knowledge of data visualizations, large language models (LLMs), and machine learning principles, techniques, and technologies.
Preferred:
• Familiarity with the Agile (i.e., Scrum, Jira, Confluence) or equivalent project management process
