Responsibilities
• Lead and inspire a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
• Oversee the maintenance and functionality of all hotel properties, ensuring a seamless guest experience.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize operational efficiencies and reduce costs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive projects that enhance our hospitality offerings.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards across all engineering operations.
• Manage budgets effectively, prioritizing projects that align with our business goals.
• Identify and implement new technologies to improve property management and guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
Experience: Typically 5 or more years of hands-on, progressive leadership experience in hospitality maintenance (e.g., previous Chief Engineer role).
Technical Expertise: Working knowledge of building trades, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and carpentry.
Administrative Skills: Proficiency with checkbook accounting, building management systems (BMS), preventative maintenance software, and Microsoft Office.
Certifications: Vocational schooling, military training, or specialized technical/trade certifications are highly preferred.
Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, organizational abilities, and effective communication to coordinate seamlessly with other hotel departments like Housekeeping and Front Desk.
