Job description

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced, entrepreneurial Director of Operations to serve as the operational center of the company, leading day-to-day execution while actively identifying opportunities to grow revenue and expand the business. The ideal candidate is highly motivated by growth and wants to directly contribute to the companyโ€™s success while creating significant opportunities for their own professional and financial advancement. This individual is accountable for making sure every part of the business runs smoothly and on schedule โ€” from the faculty who teach our programs, to the trade shows we exhibit at, to the special events we host, to the content we film in-house.

This is a highly cross-functional leadership role. The Director of Operations is the primary point of contact for our faculty, a driving force behind our business development and partnership strategy, a close collaborator with marketing, and the coordinator who keeps our media production efficient, accurate, and on brand. We are looking for a hands-on, entrepreneurial leader who is equally comfortable developing strategic partnerships and new business opportunities as they are stepping in to quickly resolve an unexpected operational or logistical challenge at a live training event. A strong working knowledge of the aesthetics and functional medicine industries is essential to understanding our business, identifying growth opportunities, and succeeding in this role.

About Empire Medical Training

Empire Medical Training is the nationโ€™s leading provider of aesthetic, anti-aging, pain management, and functional medicine education for healthcare professionals. With nearly 30 years of experience, we deliver top-tier live and virtual training to thousands of practitioners every year across the U.S. and abroad. Our learning platform, EmpireOnDemand.com, is transforming online medical education and expanding rapidly.

Weโ€™re a fast-growing, high-impact organization with a powerful brand, a strong leadership team, and an entrepreneurial culture. Weโ€™re expanding globally โ€” with strategic partnerships across Latin America โ€” and continue to lead our industry through innovation and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Lead day-to-day operations and execution: Oversee daily company operations across departments, including Sales, Marketing, HR, Events, and Finance, working closely with team leaders to understand active projects, priorities, and deadlines. Keep teams aligned, track progress, resolve issues, and ensure projects and operational priorities are completed accurately and on time.

Seminars and Trade Show Management

  • Manage live and virtual events: Oversee the planning and execution of live workshops, virtual programs, trade shows, and special events, ensuring seamless operations for staff, faculty, and customers.
  • Track event performance, costs, attendance, and ROI, working closely with Marketing and executive leadership to evaluate results, identify improvements, and report on overall event performance.

Business Development and Strategic Partnerships

  • Drive new business, partnerships, and revenue growth: Identify new revenue opportunities, recruit vendors and faculty, build strategic industry partnerships, and develop initiatives that expand our curriculum and market reach.
  • Reduce costs and improve efficiency: Identify cost-saving opportunities across hotels, venues, vendors, event logistics, and overall operations without compromising quality.

Faculty Relations

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Empire faculty, managing relationships, scheduling, onboarding, travel, agreements, and event logistics.
  • Recruit and support new faculty while ensuring clear communication, expectations, and timely resolution of issues.
  • Serve as the escalation point for faculty questions and concerns, resolving them quickly and professionally.

Marketing Coordination

  • Partner with the Marketing Team to effectively promote seminars, trade shows, special events, and new program launches.
  • Coordinate priorities, timelines, and event details to ensure campaigns are timely, accurate, and effective.

In-House Content Production

  • Coordinate all in-house filming of educational and promotional content, serving as the connective point between the media team, marketing, and faculty.
  • Build and manage the production schedule so that studio time, faculty availability, and marketing needs align efficiently.

Qualifications

Required

  • We are seeking a highly motivated, hard-working executive who is looking for a long-term opportunity to grow professionally and financially with the company. This is a high-responsibility, high-reward position with excellent compensation and significant growth potential.
  • Candidates should understand that a leadership role at this level requires a minimum commitment of approximately 50 hours per week and the flexibility to step in whenever the business requires it.
  • Strong working knowledge of the aesthetics and functional medicine industries, including procedures, products, vendors, and recognized brands.
  • Candidates without meaningful aesthetics and functional medicine industry experience will not be considered.
  • 6-8+ years of progressive operations experience, including at least 3 years in a director-level or senior management role with responsibility for multiple functions.
  • Demonstrated success owning event and trade show operations from planning through execution.
  • Strong business development instincts and a track record of building partnerships that produced measurable results.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the professional presence to be the companyโ€™s primary contact for physicians and senior faculty.
  • Willingness to travel periodically and to be on-site in Fort Lauderdale.

Preferred

  • Experience in continuing medical education, medical aesthetics training, or a related professional education field.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in business, hospitality, marketing, healthcare administration, or a related field.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.

What Success Looks Like in the First Year

  • You have become an integral part of the Empire culture: you enjoy coming to work, have built strong relationships across the team, contribute positively to the workplace, participate in company events and celebrations, and are a valued part of the Empire team.
  • Company revenue growth is directly attributable to this executive.
  • The faculty describes communication with the executive as clear, responsive, and reliable.
  • The event calendar is planned strategically in advance, with defined goals and measured outcomes.
  • Events are profitable and run on schedule and on budget, with fewer last-minute escalations.
  • New venues, new vendors, additional products and services to offer, and new educational partners are all in place to help expand the company.
  • In-house filming operates seamlessly, with a continuous pipeline of new content (new videos to sell) and ongoing expansion.

Compensation and Benefits

This is a highly compensated leadership position with a base salary of $110,000โ€“$150,000, based on experience, plus performance-based bonuses and significant additional earning potential tied to individual and company growth. We reward initiative, results, and new revenue generation, creating substantial opportunities for increased compensation and professional advancement.

Our competitive benefits package includes:

  • Company-sponsored group health coverage.
  • Retirement savings plan with tax-advantaged contributions.
  • Generous paid time off: paid holidays, vacation that grows with years of service, and paid sick leave.
  • Reimbursement of approved business travel, lodging, meals, and mileage.
  • Grow with us: we are committed to creating meaningful opportunities for professional advancement, increased compensation, and financial growth as the company continues to succeed and expand.

Background checks and reference checks will be performed.
