Are you ready to make a difference in the lives of adults with Traumatic Brain Injuries? At NeuLife Rehabilitation of Michigan, we're more than just a workplace; we're a community committed to compassion, quality care, and supporting both our persons served and our team. If you're passionate about helping others and want to grow professionally in a supportive, best-practice environment, we want you on our team.

Your Role:

The Assistant Residential Manager serves as the lead direct care professional within the residential program, providing leadership, guidance, and support to Direct Care Staff while helping ensure a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment for persons served. This role works alongside staff to promote quality care, regulatory compliance, and effective daily operations while serving as a liaison between residential staff and management. The Assistant Residential Manager plays a key role in supporting person-centered care, staff development, operational consistency, and positive resident outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Train, coach, and mentor residential employees while reinforcing agency policies, procedures, and care standards
  • Monitor staff performance, service delivery, and documentation, providing real-time feedback and reporting concerns to management
  • Support person-centered care by assisting residents with daily living activities, skill development, and community engagement
  • Monitor resident health, safety, and well-being, responding to behavioral, medical, environmental, and crisis situations
  • Oversee medication administration processes, including inspections, documentation review, inventory monitoring, and compliance checks
  • Conduct routine audits of resident records, binders, and electronic systems to ensure accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance
  • Coordinate household operations including meal planning, activity scheduling, inventory management, and supply oversight
  • Perform routine environmental checks of rooms and common areas to ensure cleanliness, safety, and maintenance needs are addressed
  • Participate in on-call rotation and maintain timely, professional communication with staff, management, families, and external providers

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Valid Michigan driver's license and insurable driving record
  • CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain certification upon hire
  • Minimum one year of experience working with individuals with traumatic brain injuries, developmental disabilities, behavioral health needs, or related populations preferred
  • Previous leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize responsibilities and work independently while supporting a team environment
  • Proficiency with electronic documentation systems and basic computer applications

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the workday
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to safely assist residents during daily activities and emergency situations
  • Ability to operate computers, tablets, telephones, and other office equipment
  • Ability to travel as needed for appointments, meetings, training, and program operations

Join our team and make a real difference! Deliver high-quality, person-centered care while helping persons served achieve their unique goals in a supportive, best-practice environment.
