Description:
Responsible for engineering and implementation of network management services technologies across the LAN/WAN and ensure they are properly supported in production. Act as a networking expert and resource for peers and management inside American. Apply application performance monitoring technology to reduce network engineering & operational costs and improve reliability and productivity. Participate in testing and the documentation of network services support technologies. Assist in developing communication strategies and communication standards for the enterprise. Consult with clients to advise them of potential network management services solutions and avenues for deployment.

ย ย  ย Experience with one or more Opnet suite of tools in the areas of:
ย ย  ย ACE Live - Business group development, setting alarm conditions and notifications, reporting, customizing dashboards
ย ย  ย nCompass - Development of dashboard, running analysis, configuring event alarm and notifications, reporting
ย ย  ย IT Sentinel - Auditing 5000+ node networks. Automating scheduled task such as network standards and PCI compliance and network drawings.
ย ย  ย IT Guru Network Planner - Build and run flow analyses and DES simulation. Troubleshoot network and application performance issues.
ย ย  ย ACE Analysis - Trace analysis, identifying problem areas, and reporting.
ย ย  ย VNE Server - Importing network objects via automation tools and manual imports. Troubleshooting and optimizing database. Running weekly and monthly reports
ย ย  ย Strong knowledge of information systems and operational processes
ย ย  ย Strong working knowledge in troubleshooting network related issues, routers, L2/L3 switches. Also have a good understanding of network protocols (Ethernet, TCP/IP, SNMP, VLAN Trunking), routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, RIP), network technologies, and LAN technologies (SPT, ARP).
ย ย  ย Good understanding of QoS, and policy-based routing with Cisco and HP equipment.
ย ย  ย Able to troubleshoot production related issues with Tier 4 support teams.
ย ย  ย Demonstrate technical problem solving skills, have strong presentation and analytical skills, and possess a strong desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
ย ย  ย Ability to interact and with teams across multiple platforms and in varying environments

Qualifications:
