Job description

Hoffman is seeking a Senior Living Business Development Director to drive growth throughout Wisconsin and the Midwest by developing executive-level relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and securing architecture, planning, design, and construction management projects with senior living organizations. This individual will play a key role in shaping Hoffman's Senior Living growth strategy by cultivating strategic partnerships, identifying emerging market opportunities, and providing industry insights that support long-term business development and market expansion. Existing relationships within the senior living industry are highly valued and will be a significant advantage in this role.

Business Development
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the senior living sector across all levels of care.
  • Build and maintain relationships with C-suite executives, board members, development leaders, and other key decision-makers.
  • Generate and nurture leads through networking, referrals, conferences, outreach, and strategic partnerships.
  • Lead business development meetings, presentations, and client discovery discussions.
  • Manage opportunities through the full sales cycle, from initial contact to contract execution.
Market Development
  • Represent Hoffman at industry events, conferences, and professional associations.
  • Maintain and manage a strong pipeline of opportunities using HubSpot, ZoomInfo, or similar CRM platforms.
  • Monitor industry trends, capital planning initiatives, and emerging market opportunities.
  • Develop and strengthen referral relationships with industry leaders and key stakeholders.
Strategic Partnership Development
  • Build relationships with Hoffman's strategic partners, including technology providers, consultants, lenders, developers, operators, equipment providers, and other organizations serving the senior living industry.
  • Create and grow referral partnerships that generate long-term business opportunities.
  • Identify and participate in thought leadership initiatives and industry collaboration opportunities.
  • 10+ years of business development, market development, or related experience.
  • Proven success building and maintaining executive-level relationships.
  • Experience managing consultative or complex sales cycles from prospecting through contract execution.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Willingness to travel throughout Wisconsin and the Midwest.
  • Experience in one or more of the following industries: senior living, healthcare, commercial real estate, construction, architecture, or engineering.
  • Established relationships with senior living CEOs, Executive Directors, CFOs, Board Members, owners, operators, developers, consultants, or industry partners throughout the Midwest strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of campus development, capital planning, or real estate strategy.
  • Demonstrated success generating opportunities through relationship-based business development rather than transactional sales.
