The Opportunity:
Join CACI as a Data Scientist and Engineer. We are seeking a highly experienced subject matter expert to drive technical innovation, architect advanced data engineering solutions, and implement machine learning models that support our clients' LAN, WAN, and UC services. In this role, you will lead the most complex, high-impact initiatives, solving unique and undefined problems in cybersecurity, compliance, and network modernization. You will establish operational plans with mid-term strategic impact, mentor technical staff across the organization, and present your findings directly to senior and executive leadership. Responsibilities:
  • Employ advanced statistical methods and machine learning techniques to analyze complex datasets, uncovering deep patterns and root causes
  • Architect, build, and maintain robust, end-to-end data pipelines to ensure seamless data collection, integration, and storage
  • Design, develop, and deploy predictive algorithms and automated machine learning models into production environments to optimize network operations
  • Analyze large, unstructured, and undefined data sets to solve unique technical challenges where information is difficult to obtain
  • Lead complex, cross-functional project initiatives to address strategic business needs in cybersecurity, compliance, and network modernization
  • Present highly technical findings and strategic recommendations to senior and executive leadership in a clear and actionable manner
  • Provide expert guidance, coaching, and mentorship to technical staff across the organization to drive the adoption of data-driven practices
  • Conceptualize and implement innovative data products, processes, and standards that establish mid-term operational plans for the broader organization
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in data engineering architecture, machine learning MLOps, and data science best practices

Qualifications:
Required:
  • Must possess an active TS/SCI security clearance with the ability to obtain a polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, statistics, mathematics, engineering, or a related field
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience
  • Must hold a current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE)
  • Proficient understanding of data governance and security best practices
  • Proven proficiency in Python, R, and SQL for advanced data manipulation, pipeline creation, and model development
  • Extensive hands-on experience designing and deploying scalable data architecture, databases, and automated data engineering workflows
  • Deep expertise in machine learning, predictive modeling, data mining techniques, and deploying models into production environments
  • Proven ability to conduct extensive investigations to understand the root cause of undefined problems
  • Experience conceptualizing and communicating with executive leadership regarding matters of significant strategic importance

Desired:
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
  • Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in a highly quantitative or technical field
  • Experience mentoring and directing junior/mid-level data analysts and engineers
  • Familiarity working alongside Business Intelligence SMEs, preparing and formatting optimal data structures for visualization tools like Tableau
  • Exceptional ability to work with high latitude and independence, successfully managing multiple high-stakes projects simultaneously

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$105,100-$231,100
