A Director of Technology is a software engineering expert who leads the high-quality delivery of software and enterprise technology solutions across all phases of the SDLC. They possess deep understanding and experience of driving enterprise-level modern architecture, robust software engineering practices and cloud adoption. They also collaborate with senior clients (up to C-suite) across technology and business domains and wider Publicis Sapient delivery and consulting teams to create, shape and achieve business outcomes. They relish the role of a technical leader, bringing high engineering standards, leadership and motivational skills.

Your Impact

  • Immersive yourself in financial services clients' business objectives and help define future/evolutionary architecture, transition states, technology choices and operating model
  • Deliver new digital solutions and efficiencies across the North American Banking Sector (e.g. public, private, cooperative, asset & wealth management, investment banking)
  • Help to drive enterprise-scale engineering transformation and AI adoption to enable accelerated growth initiatives and best-in-class customer experiences
  • Be part of the FSNA Financial Services Leadership team and directly contribute towards regional business growth by bringing new ideas and go-to-market strategies to unlock new revenue opportunities
  • Contribute towards Publicis Sapient best in class engineering practices & initiatives, mentor and inspire a diverse and highly motivated engineering talent
  • Represent Publicis Sapient in FSNA technology industry forums and platforms 
Qualifications

Qualifications - Skills, Experience & Differentiators

  • You will possess strong knowledge of at least one segment of the NA Banking Sector (e.g. Core Banking, Payment Systems and Flows, Regulatory Frameworks, Risk Management)
  • You will be experienced in influencing very senior client stakeholders (up to the C-suite) and be responsible for building client advocates across all levels
  • You will bring a mature PoV on the topics that matter the most across the NA FS sector and a strategy of how to convert ideas into revenue    
  • You will have experience delivering Digital Business Transformation for Financial Services sector clients underpinned by modern technology and methodology
  • You'll have the ability to navigate the unknown and lead from the front in helping structure work and drive solution options and estimations at different RFP stages
  • You will be experienced in delivering end-to-end outcomes for clients starting from ideation to value realization

Your Technology & Engineering skills

  • You have extensive experience in defining end-to-end enterprise architecture and leading complex distributed applications development that leverages Cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI)
  • You possess strong knowledge and understanding of software design/architectural concepts like Event-driven Architecture, Microservices & Domain-driven design
  • You have a strong understanding of data architecture concepts, including transactional consistency, data modelling, and the trade-offs between different storage and processing paradigms across modern data platforms
  • You bring extensive software development leadership experience of large-scale distributed systems, supported by a hands on development background with exposure to multiple languages (e.g. Java, Go, Scala, Python) and frameworks
  • You bring hands-on experience designing and implementing Agentic AI systems leveraging frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, HuggingFace, LlamaIndex, AutoGen, or CrewAI, and deep understanding of concepts like reasoning, planning, and tool invocation
  • You have broad knowledge of API styles and understanding of the various data solutions and respective applications 
  • You have strong knowledge of containers and building container-based platforms using Docker, GKE, AKS etc
Additional Information

Salary Range: $210,000 - $260,000 + Discretionary Bonus

The range shown reflects a grouping of compensation ranges currently in use at Publicis Sapient. Actual compensation may vary based on location and specific experience and may include additional bonus and equity components.
