The Systems Engineer III - ISR is an integral member of our Engineering team that develops cutting-edge signals intelligence systems, which enable mission-critical capabilities across defense and space systems. The team implements, tests and documents SIGINT software and hardware, contributing directly to the success of our national security missions.
The position reports to the VP of Engineering and is part of our ISR team based inFolsom, CA. This role is hybrid and can be located in either Folsom, CA or Dayton, OH.
In this role, the essential functions are:
  • ISR systems technical requirements development, architecture, design, integration, and test efforts.
  • Perform technical trade studies related to ISR systems.
  • Develop risk management and mitigation plans for complex systems.
  • Contribute on proposal generation encompassing technical performance, cost, and schedule.
  • Incorporate Systems Engineering rigor with respect to requirements development, segmentation, flow-down, verification, and validation.
  • Technical contributor to systems engineering and software engineering teams on projects.
  • Technical contributor to the project team regarding technical decisions on each project in the areas of:
    • Digital Signal Processing and Software Architecture Implementations
    • Systems (SW and HW) Requirements and Design
    • Detailed Hardware Design and Implementation
    • Detailed Software Design and Implementation
    • Systems Integration and Test
  • Demonstrate domain technical knowledge regarding Signal Processing Architectures and Systems related to SIGINT systems.

Requirements Include:
  • Bachelor's Degree in the field of Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited university.
  • Four (4) or more years of engineering experience, with at least two (2) years focused on signal collection and signal processing systems.
  • Experience with software-defined radios (SDRs) and their application in SIGINT systems.
  • Experience with wireless communications systems and protocols (e.g., AM, FM, BPSK, QPSK, QAM).
  • Experience with modeling and simulation of signal processing algorithms.
  • Experience with MBSE (model-based systems engineering).
  • A strong understanding of electromagnetic fundamentals related to antennas and receiving systems.
  • Proven ability to work independently on assigned tasks within a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current DoD Top Secret security clearance
  • Understanding of and experience with SIGINT direction-finding systems and with machine learning in embedded (or "edge) environments.

Travel, Physical and/or Government Mandated Requirements:
  • Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time for on-site integration and customer meetings.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government Clearance.

The good faith base salary range for this role is $113,068 - $196,100 at the time of this posting. Where you fall within the range depends on your experience, skills, and location. This range reflects base salary only and does not include benefits or bonus/incentive. This range may be adjusted in the future. This position is incentive plan eligible.
