Job description

Job Title: Engineering Manager/Director - Integration and V&V Testing
Location: El Segundo, CA (Onsite)
Duration: Full Time

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager, Integration and V&V Test to lead the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of system integration and test activities for a highly complex electromechanical product. This leader will oversee a multidisciplinary team responsible for integrating hardware, software, controls, and electrical systems into fully functioning products while ensuring performance, quality, reliability, and safety.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with exceptional leadership skills and has experience managing engineers through product development, verification, validation, and production readiness.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and mentor a team of integration and test engineers.
• Develop and execute integration and test strategies across prototype, validation, and production programs.
• Coordinate integration of mechanical, electrical, software, firmware, and controls systems.
• Establish test plans, verification procedures, and qualification protocols.
• Oversee system-level troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Drive EVT, DVT, PVT, reliability, and validation testing.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program Management.
• Define laboratory infrastructure, tooling, instrumentation, and automation.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
• Support transition from development into manufacturing.
• Manage schedules, resources, technical risks, and team priorities.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Aerospace, Nuclear Engineering, or related discipline.
• 8+ years of engineering experience, including leadership of integration and test teams.
• Experience integrating complex multidisciplinary systems.
• Strong understanding of verification, validation, and qualification methodologies.
• Experience with laboratory testing, instrumentation, and test automation.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in a related engineering discipline.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, energy, industrial automation, robotics, advanced manufacturing, or other regulated industries.
• Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL), MBSE, and configuration management.
