Staff Development/Infection Control - Full Time

About the Role:

As a Staff Development/Infection Control professional, you will be responsible for promoting a culture of quality and safety within our healthcare facility. Your expertise will ensure that our staff is equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide exceptional care to our patients. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing infection control policies and protocols to prevent and control the spread of infections.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement staff development programs to promote professional growth and advancement

  • Conduct training sessions and provide coaching and mentoring to staff members

  • Identify and address training gaps and develop corrective action plans

  • Collaborate with department directors to develop and implement infection control policies and protocols

  • Conduct routine observations and monitor compliance with infection control standards

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and reduce infections

  • Assist in the development and implementation of patient safety programs

  • Provide education and training to staff members on infection control procedures and protocols

  • Conduct orientation, and education for new staff

  • Staff Inservicing

Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience in staff development and infection control

  • LPN Licence required

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Knowledge of infection control principles and regulations

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
