Position Overview and Qualifications

This role operates under the direct supervision of the manager and involves coordinating various aspects of the Medical Center's infection control program. Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring, preventing, and controlling both hospital-acquired and community infections among patients.
  • Conducting data analysis to inform follow-up actions and assess the effectiveness of infection control measures.
  • Providing educational support to staff and physicians.
  • Assisting with other quality metrics, monitoring, and auditing as necessary.
Required Qualifications:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
  • Certification in Infection Control (CIC) is required within 2 years of employment.
  • Must be a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Possess an Associate Degree or a Registered Nurse Diploma.
