Role Overview
The Brand Lead is the strategic and operational owner of a portfolio of brands within SuperOrdinary’s social commerce business. This role leads brand communication, growth strategy, and go-to-market execution, while managing and developing a high-performing team.
As the primary, senior-facing point of contact for brand partners, the Brand Lead is accountable for overall performance, team execution, and operational excellence across all social commerce initiatives. This role may be leveled at the Manager, Senior Manager, or Director level based on experience and scope.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Client Communication
  • Own enterprise-level brand partnerships as the main point of contact
  • Set communication cadence, lead weekly/biweekly syncs
  • Manage stakeholder expectations with clear, proactive, and confident communication
Growth Strategy & GTM Ownership
  • Develop and execute multi-quarter TikTok Shop growth strategies spanning assortment, promotions, affiliates, livestreams, and paid media alignment
  • Lead GTM planning for launches, tentpole moments, and major campaigns
  • Continuously identify new growth opportunities and expansion levers
Performance Management & Optimization
  • Monitor and optimize key KPIs across sales, traffic, and conversion
  • Use data to inform decisions and refine strategy in real time
Executive Reporting & Insights
  • Analyze sales performance, traffic, and conversion metrics to identify trends and growth drivers
  • Deliver weekly and monthly reporting with clear insights, strategic recommendations, and action plans
  • Present concise, executive-ready decks and verbal readouts that translate data into decisions
Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal teams (ads, live, ops, finance, leadership) to unblock issues and drive results
Team Leadership
  • Lead, coach, and develop team members
  • Set priorities, clarify ownership, and ensure high execution standards
  • Build scalable processes that reduce management overhead and enable team efficiency
Market & Platform Expertise
  • Stay ahead of TikTok Shop trends, algorithm updates, and emerging best practices
  • Apply platform insights to inform strategy, experimentation, and optimization

Qualifications
 
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in e-commerce, social commerce, or brand management, with hands-on exposure to platforms such as TikTok Shop, Amazon, Shopify/DTC, Walmart Marketplace, or similar. Direct TikTok Shop experience is a strong plus.
  • Background: Platform, brand or agency background preferred, with experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder client relationships.
  • Client Communication: Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, with a proven track record of delivering C-suite–ready decks, insights, and recommendations.
  • Affiliate & Creator Experience: Experience with affiliate marketing, creator partnerships, and influencer ecosystems is a strong advantage.
  • Leadership & Program Management: Strong program and team leadership capabilities, able to own end-to-end initiatives across multiple brands, workstreams, and timelines.
  • Analytical Rigor: Highly data-driven, with experience in forecasting, KPI diagnosis, performance analysis, and translating insights into clear action plans.
  • Organization & Execution: Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple brands and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ownership & Mindset: Operates with urgency, accountability, and a solutions-oriented mindset; comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving results.
  • Adaptability: Thrives in fast-moving environments, solves problems creatively, and adapts quickly to platform, market, and business changes.
