Head Coach – Alloy Personal Training Rochester, NY

Overview

As the Head Coach at Alloy Personal Training Rochester, NY, you’ll be at the center of launching a brand-new studio and building a high-performing coaching culture from day one. This role is designed for a leader who is passionate about health, movement, and people—and who takes pride in delivering exceptional results. You’ll lead and mentor a team of coaches while running 25–30 small-group personal training sessions per week, ensuring every member receives an individualized, high-quality experience. Outside of sessions, you’ll support studio growth through community engagement, local partnerships, pre-sales, marketing support, retention efforts, and staff development. This role reports directly to the Director of Training and works closely with ownership. This is a rare opportunity to help open the first Alloy location in the market and play a hands-on role in growing a 100+ member community. Flexible part-time coaching opportunities are also available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and execute a critical sales role during pre-sales and opening, accountable for achieving 100+ founding members prior to opening and 150 total members post-launch.
  • Build and lead a connected Alloy community grounded in the “Stronger Together” mindset, directly contributing to member engagement and retention.
  • Deliver a premium client experience by conducting InBody assessments, leading goal-setting conversations, and providing relationship-based coaching that drives measurable results.
  • Prioritize and execute initiatives that directly support member satisfaction, retention, and sustainable membership growth.
  • Communicate proactively and consistently with the Director of Training and coaching team to align priorities, performance, and execution.
  • Actively participate in and contribute to weekly team meetings to support accountability, alignment, and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrate grit, perseverance, and professionalism by maintaining high standards and resilience while pursuing long-term studio and member outcomes.

Your Weekly Game Plan

Coaching and Floor Leadership (25–30 Sessions/Week)

  • Deliver thoughtfully customized coaching aligned with Alloy standards
  • Modify confidently for any ability level while maintaining flow and energy

Member Experience and Retention

  • Accountable for building and maintaining authentic, trust-centered relationships that directly impact client retention and satisfaction
  • Ensure every member feels seen, supported, and coached
  • Provide a level of client accountability that clearly differentiates Alloy from other fitness solutions.

Represent in the Community

  • Show up with presence and professionalism
  • Represent Alloy in the local community as the face of the brand
  • Develop local partnerships that expand brand visibility and attract prospective clients

Lead a High-Standard Training Environment

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe studio
  • Keep equipment set, reset, and session-ready
  • Follow systems with discipline—consistency beats creativity

Who We’re Looking For

  • Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) or bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or a related field.
  • 2–5+ years of professional coaching experience, with demonstrated leadership responsibilities such as mentoring coaches, setting standards, or leading sessions at scale.
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and hold coaches accountable while maintaining a positive, high-performance team culture.
  • Strong communicator and motivator, capable of building trust with members and clearly directing staff, both on the floor and behind the scenes.
  • Confident coaching adults ages 40–75, with the ability to adapt programming, cueing, and communication to a wide range of abilities and goals.
  • Availability to coach during early mornings, evenings, and weekends as part of a leadership schedule that supports member demand and studio operations.
