Role Overview
As a Full-Stack Software Engineer on the NXT Platform team, you will design, build, and maintain user-facing features and the services behind them using ReactJS and Node.js. You will work in a collaborative, cross-functional team and are expected to be fluent with modern Artificial Intelligence-assisted development tools, using them to write, review, and ship higher-quality software faster. This is a hands-on role for an engineer who enjoys solving complex problems in a fast-moving environment.
Objectives of This Role
Deliver full-stack web features across the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC), from requirements and design through coding, testing, and deployment, with ReactJS on the front end and Node.js on the back end.
Leverage agile methodologies to plan sprints, participate in design sessions, and collaborate on feature delivery.
Advance our NXT platform, partnering with teammates to solve and build complex technical challenges.
Foster a team-oriented environment, working with engineers, designers, and product managers to ship high-quality solutions.
Responsibilities
Participate in the entire SDLC: from technical analysis and design through development, testing, and deployment.
Build and maintain responsive, accessible UIs with ReactJS and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
Develop and optimize web applications and services using ReactJS, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and related technologies.
Apply Artificial Intelligence-assisted engineering tools thoughtfully for code generation, refactoring, testing, and debugging, while owning the correctness, security, and maintainability of what ships.
Collaborate on system architecture and design to create scalable, maintainable solutions.
Write automated tests and participate in code reviews to uphold quality and reliability.
Work cross-functionally to define requirements, identify technical constraints, and deliver features that meet product goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications
3+ years of professional software development experience on agile development teams.
Hands-on experience with ReactJS and modern front-end development (JavaScript/TypeScript, component-based architecture, state management).
Deep knowledge of Node.js and experience building server-side applications and APIs.
Proficiency with PostgreSQL (or a similar relational database), including database design and query optimization.
Comprehensive understanding of full-stack development across front-end, back-end, and data layers, including REST-based APIs.
Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence -assisted development tools such as Claude Code or Cursor, and good judgment about when and how to use them effectively.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across remote teams.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
Experience with microservice architecture, including REST APIs and message queuing systems.
Experience building or integrating Artificial Intelligence /ML capabilities (e.g., LLM APIs, retrieval, or model integration) into production environments.
Strong TypeScript skills and experience with modern testing frameworks.
Prior experience in the digital advertising domain, with an understanding of its workflows and challenges.
Familiarity with Ruby on Rails, and a willingness to learn and adapt to other frameworks.
Exposure to DevOps practices for CI/CD pipelines and cloud services, particularly Kubernetes, AWS, and GitHub Actions.
