Job description

Description
Senior Budget Analyst
This is a forward-looking role. You're not closing out what already happened, you're helping departments plan what happens next.
A higher education client in Albany, GA needs a Senior Budget Analyst to own budget analysis, forecasting, and reporting at the department level. You'll be the person leadership calls before they make a spending decision, not after.
What you'll actually be doing:
  • Analyzing budget data and spotting trends before they turn into problems
  • Building forecasts and financial reports leadership actually relies on
  • Sitting in on planning conversations with campus departments and helping shape the numbers
  • Applying governmental and nonprofit accounting principles to day-to-day decisions

What you bring:
  • Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or something close
  • 3 to 5 years in budgeting, finance, or business
  • Advanced Excel, not "I know VLOOKUP" level, actually advanced
  • Comfortable explaining numbers to a CFO and a department head in the same day

Bonus if you've worked in higher ed or know PeopleSoft/OneUSG. Not required.
If you'd rather build next year's forecast than audit last month's spend, this is your role.
Pay: $25 to $32/hr, depending on experience. Background check required.
Apply: Send your resume to Recruiters@globalscr.com, or call/text Lasti Patel directly at 229-291-2989 (Office: 229-420-0701).
Requirements
Before You Apply
Work Authorization: Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
Start Date: This is an urgent hiring need. Candidates applying from outside the Albany, GA area should be able to relocate and begin work within approximately one week. If you're unable to meet this timeline, this opportunity may not be the right fit.
