About the Job:
Are you interested in working on cutting-edge software technology that will have a direct impact on millions of customers and over 7,500+ restaurants? As a Sr. Software Engineer I at Taco Bell, you will have an incredible opportunity to be a hands-on contributor to our fast-growing eCommerce software engineering team. Your experienced technical background and problem-solving ability will be critical as we solve new challenges at a huge scale, all while using the latest and greatest cloud-native technology. The Sr. Software Engineer I will report to the Sr. Manager, Software Engineering and be part of an innovative eCommerce team.
Responsibilities
The Day-to-Day:
  • Be a hands-on developer driving software development in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and take ownership of complex technical problems by architecting robust, scalable, and secure solutions that address both current needs and future growth while aligning with business objectives,
  • Set the technical bar for the team by implementing best practices in code quality, design patterns, and documentation
  • Mentor and guide junior team members through code reviews, pair programming, and technical knowledge sharing.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet or exceed defined architectural, security, and compliance stands, working closely with relevant stakeholders,
  • Participate in the creation and enforcement of automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines to include leading the charge of AI implementation into tooling.
  • Contribute to strategic technical ideation around architectural concepts for platform modernization and continued rollout of new features at scale

Qualifications
Is this you?
  • 5+ years of experience in iOS development with a solid understanding of Swift, SwiftUI, iOS SDKs, and common libraries.
  • BS degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent years of experience
  • Proven track record of tackling complex technical challenges, including optimizing app performance, improving load times, and debugging tricky issues like ANRs or layout delays
  • Enjoy working in cross-functional teams, can communicate technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders, and thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Familiarity with AI Coding tools like Claude Code or Cursor
  • Familiarity with AWS managed and serverless technologies a plus
  • Experience mentoring junior developers and enjoy sharing your knowledge of software engineering principles and best practices

Salary Range $129,800 to $162,200 annually + bonus eligibility + equity (if applicable) + benefits.
