Your impact
We are looking for a passionate Senior Construction Director in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business. This position will report to the Senior Director of Life Science North America Construction and will have the chance to work on state‑of‑the‑art industrial and commercial facilities.
Responsibilities
- Manage a large EPCM opportunity, responsible for all technical and commercial aspects of the program including but not limited to Safety, Financial, Technical, ESG and Client Relations.
- Responsible for monthly financial reporting requirements and forecasts.
- Initiate / review / approve all scope changes and/or additional scope additions by the client.
- Maintain positive relationships with current client as assigned; inform Operations Manager and Sales Manager of potential opportunities to market Jacobs’ services.
- Encourage the project team to seek opportunities to deliver superior customer value and earn client loyalty.
- Serve as a representative of Jacobs at meetings, presentations, and reviews relative to assigned project.
- Assure that program complies with the contract agreement and exercise rigid cost control to implement the approved design within established budget restraints.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of program to ensure that goals of the individual project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
- Establish work plan and multi‑disciplinary staffing for the entire program and arrange for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
- Direct and coordinate activities of Site Construction Teams to ensure project progresses on program schedule and within prescribed program budget.
- Develop and maintain effective communications and working relationships with client and staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural/Engineering/Construction Management or related discipline; or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree.
- At least 20 years of experience as Project or Construction Manager preferably in the Biopharma/Life Science Industry.
- Planning, project management, staff management, and business development experience is required.
- Strong project management skills and effective management of scope, schedule, and budgets for large, complex projects.
Preferred (Not required)
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.

The base salary range for this position is $155,200.00 to $260,000.00.
