Job Summary

The Director, Finance - Systems and Transformation is the senior executive responsible for the organization's financial technology ecosystem. This role provides strategic leadership and governance for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) financial applications, integration of Electronic Health Record (EHR) data with the general ledger, business intelligence, financial reporting automation, and performance management platforms like Strata. Serving as the primary liaison between Finance and Information Technology, the Director ensures all systems align with organizational strategy, regulatory compliance, operational goals, and financial reporting standards. The Director leads the collaboration across Finance, Revenue Cycle, Clinical Informatics, and IT to guarantee data integrity, reporting accuracy, and robust decision support. Additionally, the role drives the adoption of modern finance technologies, enterprise analytics, and automated reporting solutions. By leveraging process improvement methodologies, the Director enhances operational efficiency, strengthens internal controls, and supports data-driven decision-making across the health system


Required Qualifications

- Require a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, Information Systems, business or healthcare administration, or closely related field. A master's degree is preferred.
- Require ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare finance, accounting, financial systems, business intelligence, or related disciplines with a minimum of five (5) years in a leadership capacity directing teams, projects, or enterprise systems initiatives.


Preferred Qualifications

- Prefer deep, applied knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and healthcare financial reporting requirements.
- Prefer CPA, CHFP, PMP, or equivalent professional certification.
- Prefer demonstrated experience leading the financial modules of an enterprise ERP system, such as Infor, Oracle, Workday, or equivalent, in a healthcare or similarly complex environment, leading major enterprise system implementations, upgrades, or optimization projects, as well as demonstrated success leading finance process improvement initiatives through workflow optimization, automation, standardization, and technology enablement.
- Prefer experience with Strata, Axiom/Syntellis, or comparable healthcare financial performance management platforms, experience with Epic financials, Cogito, or comparable EHR reporting environments, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, or comparable enterprise analytics, reporting, and data platform technologies, as well as familiarity with SQL, data warehousing concepts, data governance, and enterprise reporting architecture.
- Prefer proven experience managing EHR-to-general-ledger integrations and collaborating with clinical or revenue cycle informatics teams, as well as hands-on experience with enterprise business analytics platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent reporting platforms, and proven ability to partner with IT leadership and manage cross-functional technology initiatives from the business side.
- Prefer strong executive communication skills, with the ability to translate complex systems and data concepts for CFO-level and operational audiences.
- Prefer demonstrated effective interpersonal skills with a positive and collaborative leadership style.
