We're currently seeking an Imaging Tech Asst/ Patient Transporter to join our team. As a Patient Transporter, you'll provide a reassuring presence while escorting patients throughout our hospital. Join us in our mission to provide quality care and make a difference in our patients' lives. 

    • Part Time Role - 8 Hours per week
    • Shifts 7:00 am - 3:30 pm - Saturday or Sunday each week. 
    • Possiblity to pick up extra shifts when available in the department. 
    • Involves 506 miles of walking per shift.

Overview

Missouri Baptist Medical Center, an acute care hospital in St. Louis County, offers a full continuum of medical and surgical services, including heart care, cancer, women and infants, breast health, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, stroke, therapy, wound and pain management services. The hospital has a 24-hour adult emergency department and cares for pediatric patients at a separate emergency department in collaboration with St. Louis Children’s Hospital.

Responsible for performing routine duties in dealing with the daily operation of Radiology Services, including but not limited to patient transportation, radiographic film development and copying, stocking supplies and clerical duties.

Responsibilities

  • Schedules procedures, maintains medical record information, obtains prescriptions when necessary.
  • Escorts or transports patients to and from examination area, assists technologist with patient transfers to and from imaging tables, and assists patient as needed.
  • Maintains and ensures availability of supplies and equipment.
  • Follows up when necessary with outside films and calls in results.
