Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking Associate / Embedded Software Engineer for the Scalable Hypersonic (SHY) flight systems software team. This position will be located inRoy, Utah.

*Please be aware that this position is contingent upon capturing program award(s) and obtaining and maintaining associated business and/or customer funding .

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:


T1 Associate Embedded Software Engineer: Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) with and a minimum 1 year of related experience.

U.S. Citizen with active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope,

Understanding of software engineering with C/C++ in a Linux environment
Understanding of UML and software design concepts
Understanding of software requirements process
Understanding of DevSecOps pipeline

T2 Embedded Software Engineer: Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and a minimum 2 years of related experience, or Master's degree in STEM with 0 years of related experience.

U.S. Citizen with active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope,
Experience in software engineering with C/C++ in a Linux environment
Exposure to software design with UML and software modeling tools
Exposure to requirements and using a requirements management tool
Experience with using a DevSecOps pipeline

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of full lifecycle software development

Knowledge of a real time operating system

Knowledge of embedded software development

Primary Level Salary Range: $65,800.00 - $98,800.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
