About the Role:
*This role is a New York City based HYBRID position. Candidates must be located in NYC, and willing to come into the office on a hybrid basis, three times a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).*
Fubo is seeking a Director, Procurement - Technology, Engineering & Product to lead strategic sourcing and procurement across our technology organization, with a primary focus on cloud infrastructure, software, SaaS, data, engineering tools and other technology services.
This role will be responsible for driving commercial negotiations, developing sourcing strategies and ensuring Fubo receives the best possible economics and contractual terms from its technology partners. The Director will work closely with Engineering, Product, Finance, Legal and other business leaders to understand requirements, evaluate vendors and manage negotiations from initial sourcing through contract execution and renewal.
In addition to managing individual transactions, this person will help strengthen Fubo's overall procurement function by improving processes, increasing visibility into spend and contractual commitments, and establishing scalable procurement practices.
As part of Fubo's broader relationship with Disney, the Director will also work closely with procurement and technology teams across Disney to identify opportunities to leverage combined scale, benchmark commercial terms, coordinate sourcing initiatives and capture procurement synergies.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead strategic sourcing, procurement and commercial negotiations across Fubo's Technology, Engineering and Product organizations, including cloud infrastructure, SaaS, software licenses, data services, developer tools, cybersecurity, telecommunications and professional services.
  • Own major vendor negotiations and renewals, developing negotiation strategies that optimize pricing, commercial terms, service levels, flexibility and long-term value.
  • Develop and execute category strategies for Fubo's largest areas of technology spend, with particular emphasis on cloud infrastructure and cloud-based services.
  • Partner closely with Engineering and infrastructure leadership to understand cloud usage, commitments and growth requirements and identify opportunities to optimize commercial structures and reduce unit costs.
  • Collaborate with Disney procurement, technology and sourcing teams to identify opportunities to leverage enterprise scale, existing agreements and preferred vendor relationships to improve Fubo's commercial terms.
  • Identify, quantify and execute cost-saving opportunities while balancing business requirements, technology performance and operational risk.
  • Manage competitive sourcing processes, including RFIs, RFPs and vendor evaluations, and provide structured commercial comparisons and recommendations to business stakeholders.
  • Partner with Legal to negotiate contractual and commercial provisions, including pricing, renewal terms, termination rights, service levels, liability, data protection and other key business terms.
  • Establish a structured contract and renewal management process to provide sufficient lead time for negotiations and reduce automatic renewals, unfavorable commitments and unnecessary spend.
  • Build greater visibility into technology spend, vendor concentration, contractual commitments and upcoming renewals.
  • Develop and maintain procurement reporting and KPIs, including realized savings, cost avoidance, spend under management, renewal pipeline, contract cycle times and vendor performance.
  • Partner with Finance and FP&A on budgeting, forecasting and tracking procurement savings and contractual commitments.
  • Conduct market benchmarking and commercial analysis to ensure Fubo's vendor economics remain competitive.
  • Support vendor consolidation and rationalization initiatives, identifying opportunities to eliminate redundant tools and services across the organization.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with strategic technology vendors and serve as a senior commercial point of contact for key supplier relationships.
  • Support vendor risk management and performance reviews in partnership with Technology, Information Security, Legal and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop procurement best practices and educate business partners on effective sourcing, negotiation and vendor management.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 8-10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, vendor management or a related function, with significant experience sourcing technology products and services.
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating complex, high-value technology agreements, including cloud infrastructure and cloud services.
  • Strong knowledge of technology procurement categories such as SaaS, software licensing, cloud infrastructure, data services, cybersecurity, telecommunications, developer tools and professional services.
  • Proven track record of delivering measurable cost savings and improving commercial terms through strategic sourcing and negotiation.
  • Experience managing complex negotiations with large technology vendors and sophisticated sales organizations.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including the ability to analyze pricing structures, usage models, volume commitments, total cost of ownership and alternative commercial scenarios.
  • Experience building or improving procurement processes, sourcing frameworks and vendor management practices.
  • Ability to work effectively with senior leaders and technical stakeholders across Engineering, Product, Finance and Legal.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple negotiations, renewals and sourcing initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

Pluses:
  • Experience negotiating large-scale agreements with major cloud providers such as AWS, Google Cloud or Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience within streaming media, digital media, technology, consumer subscription businesses or another technology-intensive environment.
  • Experience working within a large corporate procurement organization or coordinating procurement across affiliated or parent companies.
  • Experience with procurement platforms, spend analytics and contract lifecycle management tools.
  • Familiarity with FinOps principles and cloud cost optimization.
  • Experience establishing or scaling a procurement function within a rapidly growing organization.
  • Knowledge of or love for sports.

Fubo's minimum base salary for this role if hired in New York City is $150,000 per year; maximum base salary for this role is $200,000 per year. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Fubo's equity plan, annual cash bonus plans, unlimited PTO, and a full range of medical benefits. The final offer amount will be at the company's sole discretion and determined by multiple factors, including years and depth of experience and expertise, and other business considerations.
