MRM is looking for a Data Analyst. The ideal candidate must be able to proactively communicate ideas and opportunities, as well as conduct in depth analysis to support client recommendations and insights. The candidate should have a solid background in measurement and performance analytics, with an openness to learn and expand skills.
Responsibilities:
- Handle routine reporting and presenting (primarily bi-weekly and eventually, quarterly reports).
- Manage ad-hoc analytics questions & requests in a timely fashion.
- Assist in website analytics initiatives, including website tag implementation in Google Tag Manager and running custom analytics reports using Google Analytics and Big Query.
- Create custom analytics dashboards in Tableau, PowerBI or similar tools.
- Assist in report automation.
- Assist in campaign planning and performance analysis.
Education and Experience:
(You don't have to be an expert in any of these, but we are looking for someone with a basic understanding and a willingness to learn / grow these skills):
- Bachelor's degree preferably in Statistics, Data Science, Analytics, Mathematics or similar with 0-3 years' professional experience.
- Basic knowledge of Python & data and plotting libraries, with a keen interest in developing their programming skills.
- Basic SQL capabilities: joining tables, using 'group by' clauses, case statements.
- Basic understanding of statistical concepts such as hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, statistical tests (chi-squared, etc) and how to use them.
- Knowledge or experience working within Google Tag Manager or Google Analytics.
- Familiar with the basic fundamentals of data visualization, and at least one data visualization tool or package (Tableau, PowerBI, LookerStudio/Data Studio Plot.ly, Seaborn, ggplot etc).
- Basic to intermediate skills in Excel: Pivot tables, etc.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Comfortable working independently (once properly on-boarded).
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Preferred, but not required:
- Interest or background in machine learning / predictive modelling.
- Knowledge or experience working with Firebase.
- Experience working with scientific polling data-bonus if applicant has experience with large .sav files and either SPSS / pyreadstat.
- Experience with automated data collection (web scraping, APIs).
- Experience writing VBA macros a plus.
- Experienced and comfortable collaborating remotely.
