Director, Data Center Operations
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide data center operational direction/leadership at the account/divisional level to advance Data Center capabilities and market share.
  • Support data center business pursuits with divisional and regional business.
  • Provide data center solutions and new business transition support leading complex engagements and transformation programs in high risk environments.
  • Drive deployment of data center products and support post-deployment and feedback loop.
  • Provide input to strategic data center product bundle to enhance JLL Data Center capabilities.
  • Provide ownership of all DC/CE managed space within a designated area.
  • Leadership of our all data center best practices focused on networking, best in class performance, program/playbook updates and Engineering Center of Excellence.
  • Act as subject matter expert and single point of contact for data center operational management within your assigned responsibility.
  • Development and deployment of strategic tools and processes necessary to support an industry leading data center program focused on 100% uptime.
  • Advance market position with analytics of mission critical applications and processes to digitize CE data.
  • Develop AI based programs to deploy machine learning for critical environments data.
  • Leadership of our all data center best practices focused on networking, best in class performance, program updates and Engineering Center of Excellence.
  • Consult with clients and account leadership with all aspects of data center operations, management, account expansions and design.
  • Lead critical environments portfolio transitions, technical due diligence, root cause analysis, personnel development and establishing technical training programs.
  • Maintain effective communications with external and internal clients, technical personnel and OEM vendors.
  • Position could require up to 40% travel.

Critical Competencies for Success:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 10 years data center operations, project and/or engineering experience.
  • Minimum 5 years supporting business line expansion in a high growth market.
  • Previous P&L management experience preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of data center MEP systems related operational delivery.
  • Thorough understanding of IT raised floor, co-location, hyper-scale and cloud environments.
  • Prior experience with development of mission critical programs, procedures, and DCIM/MCIM/CMMS systems.
  • Other assignments as required

Estimated compensation for this position:
156,000.00 - 180,000.00 USD per year
This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
