Job description

SUMMARY

The Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing CrossLink’s Service Bureau and direct customer portfolios while supporting new business development initiatives. This role focuses on building long-term client relationships, driving customer success, and identifying revenue expansion opportunities within existing and prospective accounts.
The Account Manager serves as a trusted advisor to clients by understanding their business objectives, supporting operational needs, ensuring timely renewals, and delivering a high level of customer satisfaction. This position works closely with the broader sales organization to achieve both individual and team performance goals.
Success in this role requires strong relationship management skills, a consultative sales approach, and the ability to balance account retention with growth initiatives. The position offers a clear development path within the sales organization, with many Account Managers progressing into Account Executive roles.
Compensation includes a competitive base salary plus participation in the company sales incentive plan.   Overall annual travel is up to 25%, however, it may not be evenly distributed throughout the year.  A higher proportion of travel will occur during peak season. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify prospective sales channels and analyze prospective client needs to market appropriate professional products
  • Independently negotiate contracts for the sale of products, including determining appropriate pricing and contract terms
  • Manage ongoing, high-value client relationships by directing training resources and facilitating client servicing needs
  • Direct support staff in tasks necessary to finalize sales and onboard new accounts
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships focused on retention and growth
  • Identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful onboarding and customer satisfaction
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and account activity reporting
  • Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  1. Bachelor’s degree required
  2. Fluency in English and Spanish preferred
  3. Demonstrated ability to analyze market opportunities and apply solution-based selling strategies
  4. Proficient in developing and delivering effective presentations
  5. Excellent client account management skills
  6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  7. Able to manage, plan, negotiate, and use sound judgment
  8. High energy, self-motivated, results-driven mindset
