OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Strategic Director, Connected Media Strategy to lead the development of business-driven media strategies that accelerate client growth. This role goes beyond media planning and requires a deep understanding of clients' business challenges, market dynamics, consumer behavior, and the evolving media landscape.The successful candidate will identify business opportunities beyond the initial brief and transform them into communication strategies that connect audiences, data, channels, and creativity. As a senior strategic leader, you will play a critical role in shaping integrated media ecosystems, influencing senior stakeholders, and elevating strategic excellence across the organization.ResponsibilitiesStrategic Business Reframing

• Analyze client briefs and uncover underlying business challenges, even when they are not explicitly stated.
• Translate business issues into relevant, actionable communication opportunities.
• Challenge assumptions and redefine project starting points to increase strategic impact and business value.
• Develop strategic narratives that connect business objectives with media and communication solutions.

Connected Media Strategy Development

• Design integrated paid, owned, and earned media ecosystems aligned with business goals.
• Build communication architectures based on the full customer journey.
• Connect channels, moments, audiences, and messaging into cohesive and effective media strategies.
• Ensure media recommendations contribute directly to client growth and marketing effectiveness.

Audience & Data Strategy

• Lead the definition of strategic audiences through the integration of:
  • Market and consumer research tools (Kantar, AIMC, and similar sources).
  • First-party data.
  • Digital and behavioral data.
• Transform audience insights into actionable growth opportunities and activation strategies.
• Drive audience-centric planning approaches across projects and accounts.

Insight-Led Decision Making

• Integrate multiple data sources, including research, social listening, deterministic data, and real consumer behavior, to build a unified consumer view.
• Develop strategic recommendations based on evidence, insights, and market understanding.
• Identify trends, opportunities, and risks that can influence client business performance.

Client Leadership & Business Partnership

• Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders.
• Lead high-impact strategic projects, workshops, and pitches.
• Influence decision-making through strong storytelling, strategic thinking, and business acumen.
• Build long-term client relationships and position the agency as a strategic growth partner.

Strategic Excellence & Thought Leadership

• Develop frameworks, methodologies, and best practices that enhance the strategic capabilities of the team.
• Contribute actively to thought leadership initiatives and strategic innovation across the group.
• Promote a culture of curiosity, continuous learning, and strategic excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in media strategy, communications planning, strategic consulting, or related disciplines.
• Proven experience leading complex strategic projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong agency, media consultancy, or business consultancy background.
• Demonstrated success managing senior stakeholder relationships and influencing business decisions.
• Deep understanding of the media ecosystem across both offline and digital channels.
• Strong expertise in audience analysis, consumer research, and market intelligence tools such as Kantar, AIMC, and similar platforms.
• Experience leveraging first-party, second-party, and third-party data to inform strategic decisions.
• Excellent understanding of media as a business growth driver, beyond channel planning and activation.
• Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication, presentation, and storytelling capabilities.
• Ability to synthesize complex information into clear and actionable recommendations.
• Fluent English (C1): candidates must be able to operate confidently in English in client-facing, strategic, and business environments
