This role leads strategy, planning, network design, and business case development for the Perishable First Mile supply chain network. You will deliver asset roadmaps, scenario modeling, and CapEx approvals across Walmart and Sam’s Club.What you'll do...Senior Director, Data Science — Supply Chain Strategy: Perishable First MileAbout the Team (Supply Chain Strategy) Supply Chain Strategy is a strategy and analytics team that partners across Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Engineering, Product, Real Estate, and Program Management to shape network decisions and investment priorities. What you’ll do
  • Set long-term network strategy and asset needs for Perishable First Mile consolidation.
  • Translate long-range plans into sequenced asset plans (new, expansions, exits).
  • Lead scenario modeling to inform network design and investment decisions.
  • Drive CapEx approvals through governance forums with clear, decision-ready materials.
  • Build business cases for network transformations and individual assets in partnership with cross-functional teams.
  • Lead stakeholder alignment to ensure solutions are feasible, value-accretive, and executable.
  • Manage and develop a team of 3 data scientists.
  • Create and leverage AI agents to accelerate analysis, benchmarking, and strategy content development.

  • Proven leadership in strategy, analytics/data science, and cross-functional execution.
  • Experience with network design, scenario modeling, and investment/business case development.
  • Strong financial acumen and comfort driving governance and CapEx approval processes.

The annual salary range for this position is $160,000.00 - $320,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
