Computer Scientist, Senior

As an analytics professional with a computer science background, you're excited at the prospect of unlocking the secrets held by a data set, and you're fascinated by the possibilities presented by IoT, machine learning, and artificial intelligence (AI). If you care about moving a mission forward as much as advancing the field of data science, this is the opportunity for you. Your deep analytics, data science, AI, and machine learning expertise andconsulting mindset, coupled with an original approach to your work, will help clients and stakeholders make sense of their data and encourage actionable results. We're looking for someone like you to lead complex data exploration and analytics projects through yourexperiencewith programming languages, operationalizing models, containerization, data architecture, and cloud computing platforms for Intelligence Community missions.

As a computer scientist on our team, you'll learn and apply innovative AI and machine learningmethodologies to make a real-world impact on the Intelligence Community. You'll grow yourskillsin data science, AI, machine learning operationalization processes, and predictive modeling, and shape the future of analytics through a variety of means like patents, peer-reviewed papers, major conference presentations, and code submissions.

You Have:

  • 8+ years ofexperiencecorrelating complex technical findings into graphical, written, visual, and verbal narrative products
  • 3+ years ofexperienceusing data science programming languages such as Python or R
  • Experiencewith version control tools, including Git, GitLab, GitHub, or Bitbucket
  • Experienceleveraging mathematics, statistics, and data mining algorithms to analyze performance, proactively identify quality risks, and drive continuous process improvement
  • Ability tocontinuously review, evaluate, and update technical documentation to ensure alignment with evolving governance and program standards
  • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
  • Bachelor's degreeand 8+ years ofexperiencewith scientific techniques such as mathematics, statistics, information science, AI, machine learning, probability modeling, data mining, data engineering, or data warehousing, or 12+ years of experiencewith scientific techniques such as mathematics, statistics, information science, AI, machine learning, probability modeling, data mining, data engineering, or data warehousing, in lieu of a degree

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
