Job description

Job Title: Civil Engineer (PE) Location: Amarillo, Texas Type: Direct Hire Compensation: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 Contractor Work Model: Onsite – onsite

Responsibilities

  • Lead and perform civil engineering design for site development, grading, drainage, foundations, roads, and utilities in compliance with applicable codes and standards (e.g., ASCE, ACI, ASTM).
  • Develop and review engineering deliverables including calculations, construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Coordinate with structural, electrical, mechanical, and environmental engineers to ensure integrated design solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and CAD designers.
  • Support permitting processes and interface with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies.
  • Review and approve vendor submittals and shop drawings.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to assess construction progress and compliance with plans/specs.
  • Assist in bid evaluations and procurement of civil subcontractors and materials.
  • Ensure all civil engineering work adheres to safety and quality standards.
  • Prepare and present technical reports and participate in client meetings as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred)
  • Active PE license in [State] or ability to obtain one within 6 months
  • 5+ years of relevant civil engineering experience, preferably in an EPC or heavy industrial setting
  • Proficient with design software such as Civil 3D, AutoCAD, StormCAD, HEC-RAS, and other civil analysis tools
  • Strong knowledge of site grading, hydrology, erosion control, and foundation design
  • Experience with large-scale industrial, power generation, or energy projects is a plus
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment
