JOB DESCRIPTION: Director, Business Development
Summary
The Director, Business Development will lead client acquisition and growth:
  • Relationship Building: Build trust and mutually respectful relationships with key referral sources (doctors, psychologists, therapy providers, insurance payors, schools, community groups, etc.).
  • Collateral Distribution: Distribute marketing materials (flyers, brochures, etc.) to prospective clients and referral sources, ensuring they are accurate and reflective of the services provided.
  • Community Awareness: Build community awareness by planning, hosting, and attending key community networking events and presentations to promote the company and its services.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Develop and maintain a strong working rapport with all inter-department personnel, including marketing, client experience/intake, and operations teams.
  • Market Intelligence: Gather and analyze local market data to determine community needs and identify qualified leads.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop direct B2B marketing strategies for the company, as well as training materials and presentations of strategic initiatives for Center Directors.
  • Referral Coordination: Facilitate client transitions and referral coordination/referent feedback by collaborating with the appropriate Centers.
  • Program Oversight: Coordinate and oversee marketing strategies and programs, including referral development, contracts, intake, Salesforce/CRM tracking, social media, advertising, public relations, and community relations.
  • Center Support: Work closely with Center Directors to coordinate localized business development activities.
  • Training & Development: Responsible for training Center Directors on effective marketing strategies, both virtually and in person.
  • Performance Monitoring: Review weekly/monthly Standards of Care (SOCs) / operational metrics to ensure Center Directors are engaged in outreach and business development, while monitoring the productivity and effectiveness of overall marketing efforts.
  • Executive Reporting: Submit comprehensive reports on marketing trends, referral sources, and contracts to leadership on a monthly basis.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Five (5) years of experience in marketing or business development within the healthcare industry.
  • Proven sales success, preferably in a clinical or healthcare environment.
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently; accountability for marketing outcomes and client business development.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills; strong influence and persuasion skills to successfully grow client pipelines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CRM/tracking software.
Work Environment
  • The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate.
Physical Demands
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Travel Required
  • Regular regional travel (50-75%) for site selection and market growth.
