Job description

Buckingham Heights is seeking a hands-on, dependable Maintenance Director to help keep our senior living community safe, welcoming, and beautifully maintained.

In this leadership role, you will oversee the maintenance of our building, grounds, equipment, and safety systems while managing the housekeeping and laundry teams. You will also coordinate outside vendors and contractors to ensure maintenance and repair projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to our quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the maintenance, appearance, safety, and overall condition of the community
  • Perform routine building maintenance and minor repairs
  • Inspect and troubleshoot facility equipment, systems, and safety features
  • Coordinate repairs involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, painting, carpeting, and flooring
  • Manage outside vendors and contractors performing work within the community
  • Supervise and support the housekeeping and laundry teams
  • Maintain inventory and order maintenance supplies as needed
  • Install appliances, equipment, and other facility items
  • Conduct monthly fire drills with staff and management
  • Ensure tools and equipment are cleaned, serviced, and stored properly
  • Maintain required building certifications, inspections, and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, and quality standards
Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of carpentry, drywall, plumbing, and minor electrical work
  • Strong troubleshooting, organization, and problem-solving skills
