Primarily evening and weekends hours events conclude by 11:30pm.
Pay Rate: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
The Garden Terrace is a Banquet Hall hosting gatherings of up to 200 guests. As a space that welcomes outside catering and vendors, every event is very unique. We are looking for the right person to help customer have the best experience possible the day of their event.
JOB SUMMARY
Under direct supervision of the Rentals Supervisors the Banquet Function Coordinator will assist all clients during their events, tend to room responsibilities and offer assistance to supportive staff and potential vendors throughout the event.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Welcome clients to the Garden Terrace Room.
  • Review items purchased and agreed to on a customer's contract including time frames for rental and ensure all items are provided to our service standards.
  • Assist in all areas during the function, customer satisfaction, anticipate clients' needs and respond promptly, resolve client issues ensuring guest satisfaction, maintain positive client relations at all times.
  • Responsible for reviewing room set up and all details per contract according to the scheduled function. Cooperating with custodial staff to make updates if needed.
  • Utilize radios to connect with supportive staff: custodial, maintenance, security as needed.
  • Ensure that the banquet room, kitchens and preparation room is cleaned up and that all areas are secured after each function.
  • Communicate notes from event to Rentals Supervisor including any adjustments to rental agreements, customer conduct, or inventory or repair needs within the facility.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas.
  • Performs the job safely and in compliance with district policies, procedures, work and safety rules.
  • Ability assist Banquet Bartenders with any supportive items: Ice, handling of cases, restocking (not direct customer serving)
  • Be familiar with the safe operation of any equipment necessary in accomplishing required tasks.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings, safety meetings and training.
  • Maintain current CPR and AED certification throughout employment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be flexible and able to work weekend and morning hours corresponding with the functions booked. (Average Earliest is 6:45am and latest 12:00am ).
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Personable and accepting of various cultures and their approach to celebrations.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective on the spot decision making and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work alone and with limited supervision.
  • Good knowledge of pertinent safety precautions.
  • Ability to maintain positive and effective working relationships with other employees.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of one year experience in the Food Service Industry / Customer Service Experience is also acceptable.
  • Developed customer service skills.
