Northrop Grumman Space Systems, Multi-Domain Operations, Missile Defense Integration Business Unit (BU), has an exciting career opportunity for aSr. Software Engineer to join our team located inHuntsville, AL.

The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and8 years of related experience, or a Master's STEM Degree and 6 years of related experience, or 4 years of experience with a PhD.

  • Experience with Modeling and Data analysis

  • Experience with tactical implementation of Missile Flight Algorithms using embedded C++

  • Experience using MATLAB

  • Experience with 3-DOF and 6-DOF Missile Dynamics

  • Applicants must have a current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD issued Secret security clearance at the time of application which is required to start.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive Missile Defense domain knowledge

  • Familiarity with Atlassian and Agile software development practices.

  • Security + Certification

  • A current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance.

Primary Level Salary Range: $135,800.00 - $203,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
