Job description

Tiny Cat Animal Rescue is seeking Foster Coordinators to help support and manage our foster network. This role focuses on onboarding new foster volunteers, coordinating placements, and providing ongoing support to ensure foster homes are well-matched and well-supported. Foster Coordinators work collaboratively with one another, the Director of Operations, and the adoption team to ensure clear communication and smooth transitions.

What You’ll Do

  • Recruit fosters and communicate with prospective and current foster volunteers
  • Assist with onboarding and orientation of new fosters
  • Coordinate foster placements based on availability and cat needs
  • Track foster capacity and availability
  • Provide ongoing support and check-ins
  • Serve as a point of contact for foster-related questions
  • Maintain organized and consistent communication across the team

Ideal Qualities

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
  • Calm, responsive, and solution-oriented
  • Able to exercise sound judgment and manage multiple moving pieces
  • Discreet and respectful when handling personal information
  • Comfortable guiding volunteers and making thoughtful foster placement recommendations
  • Experience with animal rescue or volunteer coordination helpful but not required

Commitment

  • Approximately 2–5 hours per week with flexible scheduling
  • This role can be performed remotely; occasional availability to assist with local coordination and foster transport is a plus
