Job Description
Analyzes and corrects all electrical problems. Repairs, replaces, and overhauls all electrical equipment in a safe and proper manner.

Responsibilities
  1. Maintains electrical systems throughout district facilities.
  2. Responds to electrical emergencies and power outages, including changing out transformers, breakers, switches, and outlets.
  3. Assists other crafts in troubleshooting electrical control problems related to systems.
  4. Orders material and completes work orders. Attends training sessions.
  5. Repairs interior and exterior lighting systems.
  6. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

WORK EXPERIENCE
3 to 5 years
TYPE OF SKILL AND/OR REQUIRED LICENSING/CERTIFICATION
Licensed Electrician Office equipment (e.g., computer, copier), Hand tools (e.g., hammer, shovel, screwdriver), Power tools (e.g., radial saw, reciprocating saw, drill, pheunomatic hammer), Vehicles (e.g., automobile, truck, tractor, forklift)
LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
No supervisory or direct people management responsibilities. May provide occasional work guidance, technical advice and training to staff.
WORK COMPLEXITY/INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT
Work involves the application of moderately complex procedures and tasks that are quite varied. Independent judgment is often required to select and apply the most appropriate of available resources. Ongoing supervision is provided on an "as needed" basis.
