Job description

We are seeking a seasoned, high-energy Large-Loss Multifamily Mitigation Project Manager to lead emergency response, stabilization, and disaster mitigation projects for large-scale condominiums and multi-unit residential portfolios. This role demands an expert in handling complex, multi-million-dollar water, fire, mold, and storm losses from initial dispatch through structural drying and hand-off to reconstruction. You will directly manage field operations, major insurance carrier relationships, and project financial performance under high-pressure timelines.
Are you a driven relationship builder with a passion for helping communities rebuild after disaster strikes? We're seeking a Senior Mitigation Project Manager to join our fast-growing insurance restoration and construction team. In this role, you will oversee complex property restoration, environmental remediation or hazard mitigation projects from start to finish.
LHR requires that this role meets high-quality safety standards while leading the team and building client trust. You'll serve as a trusted advisor, guiding clients through the restoration and recovery process while driving measurable growth and impact. The perfect person should be a natural connector with experience in restoration sales, insurance claims, and construction project management. If you excel in a fast-paced, service-driven environment and are passionate about making an impact, we'd love to speak with you.
The Senior Mitigation Project Manager will travel a minimum of 60% of the time.
  • Project Execution: Direct on-site emergency mitigation, extraction, structural drying, and hazardous material containment for high-density multifamily structures.
  • Financial Management: Develop accurate project budgets, monitor job costing, track equipment allocation, and maximize project profitability.
  • Scoping & Estimating: Write detailed, compliant scopes of work and mitigation estimates using Xactimate and Verisk platforms.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary liaison between property managers, regional executives, insurance adjusters, and third-party consultants.
  • Resource Optimization: Coordinate internal emergency crews, source specialized equipment, and manage third-party subcontractor labor schedules.
  • Compliance & Safety: Enforce strict compliance with IICRC standards, insurance SLAs, and OSHA safety requirements across all active zones.
  • Documentation: Ensure airtight field documentation, including daily logs, moisture mapping, and comprehensive photo tracking.
  • This person will lead our emergency response team.
  • In this role, you will oversee water, fire, mold, and biohazard restoration projects from initial inspection to final sign-off
  • The individual will develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve growth targets and expand market share, building and nurturing long-term partnerships with Community Managers, HOA Boards, and industry leaders by providing weekly updates by tracking milestones of jobsites that are large scale water, fire, smoke, mold, etc projects
  • The Senior Mitigation Project Manager will collaborate with marketing and operations teams to deliver end-to-end client solutions that exceed expectations, and provide financial management by approving job costs, change orders and prepare accurate estimates using software like Xactimate.

  • Minimum 5+ years of dedicated experience managing $1M+ large-loss commercial or multifamily restoration projects.
  • High proficiency with Xactimate and cloud-based field management software (e.g., Encircle, DASH, or ProCore).
  • Active IICRC certifications are mandatory-specifically WRT (Water Damage Restoration) and ASD (Applied Structural Drying).
  • Proven track record directing massive labor crews and logistics in chaotic disaster environments.
  • Valid driver's license and flexibility to respond to local or regional catastrophe (CAT) events on short notice.
