On-site Every Other Week onsite / 5 days in either Durham, NC or Merrimack, NH or Westlake, TX

As a Senior Java AWS Developer, you will utilize strong cloud experience to develop solutions that build cloud native applications and solutions in support of a cloud journey. You will navigate and manage technical complexities while developing secure and scalable solutions for customers. You will help build composite APIs, tools, and frameworks to advance use of the public cloud for business outcomes.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $62.00 to $67.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop cloud native applications and solutions supporting brokerage recordkeeping.
  • Build and deliver composite APIs, tools, and frameworks that enable development teams.
  • Create secure and scalable solutions using AWS and container orchestration.
  • Develop containerized services using Java Spring Boot and Micronaut.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and testing strategies to improve delivery.
  • Support development community adoption of shared products and platforms.
  • Contribute to agile ceremonies and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Promote self-service capabilities for development teams.
Experience Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience with cloud and related technologies.
  • Expertise building containerized Java applications with Spring Boot and Micronaut.
  • Proficiency with testing frameworks such as JUnit, Cucumber, and Spring Test.
  • Hands-on experience with Swagger, Git, and Jenkins.
  • Experience with Python, Golang, Node.js, Docker, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, CloudFormation, and Terraform.
  • Experience building secure cloud solutions.
  • Experience with AWS services including IAM, EKS, RDS, VPC, and CloudWatch.
  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools and pipeline creation.
  • Ability to build self-service solutions for development teams.
  • Preferred experience in retail financial markets or other regulated industries.
  • Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to operate in an agile environment with a focus on innovation and client needs.
Education Requirements:

BS degree in computer science preferred.
