Position Description

The Calibration Technician II plays a vital role in supporting Applied Medical’s commitment to quality, accuracy, and patient safety. This position is responsible for performing calibration, maintenance, and verification of inspection, measurement, and test equipment used throughout the organization. The Calibration Technician II ensures that all equipment functions within required tolerances, supporting compliance with internal quality standards and external regulatory requirements. Working at Applied Medical’s global headquarters, the Calibration Technician II applies knowledge of electrical, dimensional, and mechanical disciplines to maintain calibration accuracy. This role contributes directly to the reliability of Applied Medical’s manufacturing and testing operations, ensuring precision in every product delivered to healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform precise calibration and verification of inspection, measurement, and test equipment across electrical, dimensional, and mechanical disciplines.
  • Maintain calibration standards and reference equipment to ensure measurement traceability and reliability.
  • Collect, analyze, and record calibration data to identify out-of-tolerance conditions and determine corrective actions.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed calibration documentation, including reports and certificates, in accordance with internal quality system requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineers, production teams, and quality assurance to resolve equipment performance issues and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by reviewing calibration methods and recommending process or equipment enhancements.
  • Ensure safe handling, storage, and maintenance of calibration tools and equipment.
