Job description

Full‑time Mammography Technologist position located near Monterey, CA. The role is based at an ACR‑Designated Comprehensive Breast Center, performing high‑quality diagnostic and screening mammography. The position offers a patient‑focused environment with advanced imaging technology and opportunities for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures according to established protocols.

  2. Ensure high‑quality images for accurate interpretation by radiologists.

  3. Prepare and position patients while providing clear instructions and compassionate care.

  4. Maintain patient records and imaging documentation accurately.

  5. Follow radiation safety standards and infection control procedures.

  6. Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members.

  7. Inspect and maintain imaging equipment to ensure proper functionality.

  8. Provide patient education and address concerns regarding procedures.

  9. Utilize Hologic Dimension 3D mammography equipment.

  10. Perform procedures using a prone stereotactic table.

Qualifications:
  • Associate’s degree or higher in Radiologic Technology or related field

  • Active ARRT certification in Radiography required

  • ARRT Mammography certification required

  • California state licensure required or eligibility

  • CPR/BLS certification required

Preferred Skills:
  • Prior experience in mammography or women’s imaging preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply

  • Experience with Hologic Dimension 3D systems and stereotactic procedures preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and technical proficiency

  • Excellent patient care and communication skills

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment

  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety
